Centra iris aperture Sight 1,8 Indoor silver

I bought this iris to provide colour filter support to counter the effects of background/lighting contrast on 10m ranges. My experiments so far on cream, blue and green backgrounds have proved successful using the yellow and peach (orange) filters. I havent found a use for the others (blue, grey UV) yet and theres a danger I could become addicted to the yellow filter. The peach and the yellow both make the foresight tunnel more prominent for me, which aids centralising the tunnel in the iris aperture and focussing on the foresight assembly. It works. MEC Centra build quality is excellent and the iris feels more solid than the Centra 3.0 it is replacing.

As I set my iris to 1.2 by default, maybe using a 1.3 with the peach filter and 1.1 for a pool of light target, the 0.8-1.8 range is more than sufficient for my 10 metre shooting. Ive never used more than 1.5 (SIUS target in a dark sports hall). The black and silver iris looks good on a LG400 Blacktech.

My only, very slight, reservation is that the iris ring is quite tight to turn. As I have a Centra mirror on the back, this tends to unscrew if I open the aperture without taking a firm grasp of the engraved part of the sight. More generally, Id rather not have filters inside the iris (needs an end-cap to keep dust, etc, out) but, as this is the only way available right now (rear filter holder not easily available), and it looks quite elegant, Im happy with it.

Die Irisblende ist für´s Indoos Schießen optimal. Kann jetzt den Korntunnel, Korn und Zielscheibe besser erkennen und fühle mich dadurch sicherer beim abziehen. Die Farbfilter können je nach Umgebungslicht und Hintergrundfarben nach Wunch angepasst und dadurch ein klareres Ziel darstellen. TOP

Die Irisblende mit Farbfilter ermöglicht mir perfekte Sicht beim LG. Die kurze Lieferzeit ist ebenfalls unschlagbar.

Kann jetzt bei unterschiedlichen Lichtverhältnissen beim Indoorschießen das Ziel perfekt scharf und kontrastreich einstellen. Sehr zu empfehlen
