Raw material shortage and delivery delays

We want to provide you with an overview of the current situation in the shooting sports industry.

The indicated delivery times in our shop, which come from our manufacturers, are not necessarily binding, as the manufacturers are also facing delays due to the ever-changing circumstances.

Often, we do not receive precise information about the delivery times. This is not because the manufacturer or we do not want to provide information, but rather because it is simply not possible to give exact details.

Sometimes, it's just a matter of a small supply part that needs to be added to complete and deliver an item.

We would like to ask for your understanding and patience on behalf of the manufacturers since these factors are beyond our (and their) control.

Like many other industries, our sector is also affected by the acute shortage of raw materials. Procuring materials such as aluminum has become increasingly challenging for most manufacturers. Media reports on the reduction of magnesium production in China, a key aluminum component, suggest that the situation will not improve next year.

Furthermore, many overseas plants are forced to limit their production and operate only a few days a week due to energy shortages.

The escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict also has consequences. Mariupol's metal/steel plant has been destroyed, and EU-wide embargoes and sanctions against Russian and Chinese raw materials exist.

Transport routes are increasingly overloaded due to various factors, and transportation costs continue to rise!

We at Schießsport Buinger appreciate your understanding and are available to answer any further questions.
