ahg-SIGHT RECEIVER for a reverse shifting of the eye shield: This ahg-sight receiver is available 30 and 50 mm long, can be screwed into any rear sight and thus prolong the eye shield towards the back in order to have a more comfortable and relaxed position of the head while bench rest shooting. Verlängerung

Dieses Röhrchen ist sehr hilfreich bei der Rückverlagerung des Diopters.
So kann ich die passende Entfernung vom Auge und Diopter zusätzlich korrigieren.

50mm too long, 30mm good

This is a review of the 50mm extension tube with a M9 thread to fit standard diopters (rear sights) to extend the iris/aperture backwards. The internal diameter is, unfortunately, too narrow (6,5mm) and reveals the sight picture misalignment. The front sight tunnel sits low in the aperture and cannot be centralised without reducing the apparent aperture diameter off-centre.

A Gehman anti-glare tube, on the other hand, has a 9mm ID in the bore so this problem doesnt arise. The shorter AHG 30mm extension tube is too short to obscure the apparent image, even with an anti-glare tube mounted in front of it.

On my LG400 with a Walther Basic diopter, I obtained the rearward travel necessary (after fitting the XL butt plate slide) by using the 30mm extension and moving the sight riser right back over the recoil damper adjustment screw-hole. I also abandoned the anti-glare tube to increase the light gathering power (and apparent aperture size).

If had wanted to use this 50mm extension, I would have to have fitted a sliding iris (or Duplex device) to the anti-glare tube to correct the image alignment. This could work with supported shooting but, for me, it is too much to go wrong in the unsupported standing position.
