Air pistol beginners do best with a weapon that is light and that, most importantly, doesn't have its weight concentrated near the muzzle. That's because it takes a lot of strength and stamina to keep a relaxed, steady aim for several shots.
With a vertically mounted subcompact PRO-LINE aluminium cylinder, the AP20 weighs only 870 g and its center of gravity is close to the shooter's hand. Shooters who have acquired more strength and stamina often want to have the center of gravity further towards the muzzle. To make this change, they just swing the cylinder to a horizontal position and mount it under the barrel. This moves the center of gravity forward. Some shooters prefer to have a greater basic weight and an adjustable center of gravity. In these cases they use an optional weight bar (45 g) with two 30 g weights.
